What to expect
When the Hourly Driver arrives
Your hourly charter ride will begin at the early of 1) your scheduled time or 2) when the driver arrives; if the driver is running behind schedule, you will receive a call or text from the driver and the late arrival will not affect your full allotment of reserved drive time.
Hourly Charter passenger pickup
The passengers should be at the destination stated in the reservation booking. If the destination or passengers can’t be found, the driver will call and text the customer using the phone number provided in the reservation booking. If the customer can not be reached and does not arrive for the hourly charter within 20 minutes after the scheduled pick up time, the trip will be considered abandoned. If the driver is able to reach the customer, the wait time will simply be deducted from the purchased hourly charter time.
Payment of Highway Tolls
The customer is responsible for all toll payments, even if the driver utilizes an express transit pass in order to expedite the passengers transit time. Payment of toll should be made in cash at the final drop-off, or it will be automatically billed to the payment method used for booking the reservation.
During Your Private Driver Booking
Your hourly charter is your private chauffeur for the time period that you booked and you’ll be driven to any requested location within the mileage limit.
The trip destination limit is restricted to within 35 miles of the pickup location. However, there is no limit to the number of trip destinations that can be requested and no additional fees charged for multiple locations.
The driver will utilize GPS technology to navigate to all requested destinations, but the customer may elect to provide directions and indicate travel preferences.
Hourly Charter passenger final drop-off
The hourly charter ends when either the time or tasks are completed. Task completion means the booking reservation is complete because the passenger has been dropped off at the final requested destination. Time completion means the customer has used up the amount of time purchased. When a customer’s purchased time is completed, the Driver will allow the passenger to get out at the nearest safe intersection or take the passenger to the nearest bus or train stop (if the purchased time runs out in the middle of a trip and the customer prefers not to extend the trip time). If the FlatRateDriver does not have another appointment, the customer also has the option to extend the trip time.
To extend the trip time, the passenger can purchase either a 5 minute extension or a 30 minute extension via the Payment Portal.
- Passenger destinations must all be within 35 miles of the pickup location
- If applicable, passengers are responsible for payment or reimbursement of any toll costs, even if the driver pays with a transit pass or toll pass.
